1/21/2009 Waiting for the ElectriciansGuh.. The worst part of having electricians coming into the house is having to move all of the furniture in the house away from the outlets.
There is only so much room, and way to much furniture not to have it near a plug or under a ceiling light.
Oh yeah, Happy 2008 and 2009.. I guess I've missed a year. 5/24/2007 Escape to the DealerIt's been two and a half weeks.
I took my truck to the dealer to have a squeal fixed.
The squeal started around early march.. at 4000 rpm.
The dealer diagnosed it as the alternator and the belt.
They showed me the alternator that had overheated.. the housing had cracked in half.
I paid.. and as I was leaving the parking lot.. I heard the same squeal.... *groan*
I went once around the block and back into the dealership.
They gave me a rental and told me to take off.. they'd fix it.
Two days later.. I called... No worries. "it's all covered under an environmental warranty" they said.
"The parts are on order" they said.
Five days later I called them up. The truck had been in there a week and I wanted to head north.
"go up north, the parts still aren't in yet" they told me.
Well, it has been 17 days.. I'm still driving the rental.. paid for by the dealer.
No word on my truck.
I like the rental.. a Ford Fusion. But I miss my truck..
I think they ought to just give me a new one. 4/13/2007 Toilet RepairI'm Finally Updating my Blog! I woke up this morning to a running toilet.
I found the flapper in the tank had rotted off. So I went to the Home Depot to get parts.
I started to dismantle the broken part out of the toilet tank.
The Rubber Part is completely broken away from this part
And here is the rubber flapper. It really made my hands black.
I pulled out the new part.
The new one is much cleaner.. for now.

I was giving away V8 vegetable juice.. that came from vegetables.
I drank apple juice that comes from apples.
And grape juice comes from grapes...
So does that make milk cow juice?
Or would cow juice be gravy?
Some of you may think cow juice is what you milk from a bull.... but bulls aren't cows.
That's bull juice.
2/9/2007 Another CBC Win...I got another Package in the mail today. From the CBC. I almost forgot I won this one.
So the CD is Mat Mays... When the Angels Make Contact. With a Feature Performance by Buck 65. Hip ConcertI just got home from the Tragically Hip concert at the A.C.C..
Buck 65 and Scratch Bastard opened up for them.
The acoustics in the A.C.C. kind of suck. But it was a solid three and a half hours.
They mixed the classic stuff up with the new album.. which is good since I've barely listened to World Container.
I'd have taken pictures.. but I left my camera at home.
It also turns out the indoor smoking ban does not pertain to pot. 1/12/2007 Cd's and Mallow shooting.Well I've been slacking at the blogging.
I got the confirmation emails today that some of the C.D.s ordered last week have come in.
Including Peaches which I ordered last November.
Next week I'll have to pick them up.
Today Melissa and I went to Scarb Town Center to blow the HMV Gift Certificates Tom gave us for Christmas.
I ended up with:

And The Harry Potter DVD Box set.
I had picked up the Weakerthans.. but it turned out I ordered that from DejaVu last week.
I also picked up a marshmallow blaster. Sean and Melissa gave me the marshmallow shooter for Christmas. The blaster is more like a shot gun. There's going to be a lot of angry sticky people around the trailer park this year...lol 1/3/2007 December 2006 Recap...It's been awhile since I've entered a blog entry. I did the Christmas thing. Melissa gave mom a Hippopotamus for Christmas. Like the song on her old 73lp.
We went to Melissa's on New Years Eve.
Jean played us some songs on the Gee-tar. He was very energetic. It may have been the 6 liters of cream soda he drank.
Jack came after Dialysis. The following day mom cooked a turkey. Aunt Elsie came and we had a late night considering how late we stayed up on New Years Eve. Around 1:30 am I got a call from Uncle Paul.
It turns out a young guy hit some black Ice and drove into Nana's house. Luckily she was visiting us and not at home.
Today I received a Galaxy 500 CD from CBC.. I guess I won another CD. I know I entered the contest, but I didn't hear my name on the radio this time.
And that's the synopsis of my December. >12/14/2006 The Chinese are out to get meAfter a tough day of Christmas shopping I picked up my sister to go out for Chinese Food.
Sean met us at the Ming Du Buffett. We gorged ourselves on noodles and chicken wings and MSG.
Then at the end of my meal the waitress gave us our fortune cookies.
My fortune was Enjoy your own company. If you don't, who will?
Uh.. is it me or is that a bit insulting?
Then I fell asleep on Melissas couch, and turned her sock monkeys tail into a penis..
I'm good company. 12/12/2006 Twisted Christmas12/7/2006 Free Fries and my weeks complete.!It's beginning to get a bit cold out. I think that's why I've not been out.
We did the holiday dinner at work last week. No one died yet.. so the food was alright.
I was planning on getting my Christmas shopping done this week but I did a couple other things this week instead.
Yesterday I revived the Pajama Wednesday tradition. I was going to get dressed but once 3 pm rolled around I figured I could lay on the couch in my pajamas with out all the work getting dressed involves.
Today I did get dressed.. I even shaved.. First time this month.
I was going to get shopping when I learned the furnace guys were coming to clean the furnace.
On the plus side I ordered Swiss Chalet for dinner. I order ed my Festive Specials with Salads and ONE side order of fries.
Well The Chalet Swiss decided to give me 4 orders of french fries for the price of one. So much potato..
One more day in this week.. how can it get any better? 12/1/2006 Happy Birthday JackTonight was Jacks 65th Birthday....

Last Night was Jacks 65th birthday. We went to the Keg for Dinner then came home for Cake and Presents.
The Cake was Chocolate Chip Banana.. tasty.. Sean took a Pic of the whole Fam Damily We hunted for a Happy 65th Birthday Mug. all we could find was just Happy Birthday. Melissa made Jack one of her Egg Ornaments.
The Chicken Embryo was replaced with a snowman.
Sean was overjoyed being in the umpteenth picture with Melissa. 11/29/2006 The Decemberists Arrive.11/27/2006 Another WinSaturday Night I heard my name on the radio again...
I won me another CD from CBC Radio 3.
All I had to do was to answer what month the Russian Decemberist Revolution of 1823 began...
It turns out it was December and I won Portland Oregon's The Decemberists CD....
